Welcome to the website of The Clausius Tower Society
On the 16th November 2009 the meeting of the founders of Clausius Tower Society
was held. The establishment of the Society was the initiative of the Founding
Committee, which mainly consists of scientists and journalists. According to the
initiative of the founders the main objective of the Society is an unlimited
intellectual exchange by calling scientific conferences and public debates and
by building The Clausius Tower in Koszalin. This monument, situated in front of
the main University building, is going to commemorate Rudolf Julius Emmanuel
Clausius, the nineteenth century scientist born in Koszalin.
The activity of the Clausius Tower Society is directed by the elected
management, which includes the Rector of Koszalin University of Technology
Tomasz Krzyżyński, DSc PhD MSc BSc, Professor; Jerzy Ratajski, DSc, PhD –
Director of Institute of Mechatronics, Nanotechnology and Vacuum Technique;
Małgorzata Jucha, Mc – the bursar and the substitute for the chancellor of
Koszalin University of Technology; Piotr Wensierski, PhD – the Rector of Baltic
Higher School of Humanities of Koszalin; Father Dariusz Jastrząb, PhD – the
Rector of Theological Seminary of Koszalin.
The Audit Committee is directed by Józef Maciej Sprutta, the President of The
Friends of Koszalin Society.
